So Close and Yet So Far Away…
Posted by Curtis C under Podcast
After getting my tractor back from Volvo, which happened to be 11 pm, I drove all night to make my delivery in Bremerton. Got a load back to Spokane with a final stop in Cour d’Alene, Id (another All nighter). I then was held up at the store waiting for another truck to be unloaded. Some receivers, in fact most, will offload you then at a later time put away the product. That was not how this store operated. They were courteous about it but it eventually caused me to run out of my 14 hours preventing me from driving back to Spokane where I would have had the distinct pleasure of sleeping/resting at home. So, after resting in the sleeperberth, I finally was able to meet my wife and have a little outing at the Post Falls Flying J, followed by a hop and a skip over to a McDonalds because on a day with temperatures sky rocketing into the 70’s, the Flying J had run out of Ice Cream. And we so wanted a shake.

Finally have picked up a load from Hermiston and got back through Spokane with a little stop before taking this load on to St. Paul, Mn for an early delivery on Monday. Stopped here at a parking area early this morning near Clinton, Mt and it is time to hit the road.
