Curtis,
Seems I posted my comment to the previous podcast and I see why. The respective comments link is at the top of the post. I’m used to the comments link being at the bottom of the post. So I’ll try again. (Well, my blog is dumbtrucker.blogspot.com Duh!)
Whoa! Thank you for the comments and link. Building and maintaining a community while OTR challenges each and every driver. Those who are successful reap tremendous rewards, while the isolated suffer endlessly.
My real passion is opening the dialog among us about our image and esteem. Asking the hard questions, taking an inventory really, concerning how we regard ourselves and how we might recover the respect for our industry we cast away like trash.
We can change ourselves, not worrying about others, becoming accountable for our own behavior, and earning respect. The Professional Truck Driver: Responsibility and Accountability is the topic. Let’s talk. Smiles and blessings.

Yes, different blogging forums are kind of like driving different rigs. They are all the same but set up a bit different. Just got to get used to the controls.
No dumbtruckers here, inspite of the wonderfully self deprecating satirical URL you have chosen. A worthy goal in which I would endeavor to apply my efforts and though difficult to attain it is just a matter of starting at home as you suggest.
I’m pleased to recommend your blog because of the nuggets of wisdom you have posted and the self actualization you are reaching with solid down to earth humility.
And I concurr that the community that we need to build be based on great precepts. Responsibility and Accountability are at the core of what professional truckers need to become for the benefit of all citizens, in the US and abroad.
Oh, must we start with ourselves? Darn…
