Hi Christian,
I found your Band and the song 'All Been Done Before' on Garage Band. Being you offered up an mp3 of the song, I take that as to mean you are interested in as many people hearing your song as possible, and that there is an implied consent for use in a podcast. Most of the time this is made clearer by the artist with the use of a creative commons license tagged near the song. I realize you don't have one there but assumed since you chose not to offer it by streaming alone on Garage Band that you meant for it to be used in the prior.

Though I go by the philosophy that "giving" your music away will in the end benefit a Band far more than keeping it to exclusivity, I do not by any means presume to be the arbiter of your music. I simply liked what I heard and wanted to share it with the listeners of my podcast, whom I consider my friends.

Most Bands once they have found I have showcased their music have thanked me for playing it. And though I was surprised by your query as to why I played your music I am also aware that in this world where we all have individualistic ideas, this will not always be the case. If this is the so stated exception, please let me know and I will make sure that your music is not available in my podcasts in the future and will take any previous shows with it included down.

No affront will be taken. I realize that the world is a world in flux and that something offered free at one point may not be offered in the same manner at a future date. Copyrights change and so must we all change. I wish you the best of luck with whatever direction you decide but will respect your wishes and do as you request. Feel free to reply to this publicly or privately by email.

Regards,
