I know what you mean. I found out that My Aunt and Cousin passed away a year later, and still haven’t heard from any of my family on that side much since my Grandmother Passed. - Resentments on their side, I imagine.
As for your friend, SDA’s tend to get wrapped up in their world. - I grew up in it…
